Journalist claims Spurs like more than one Everton player amidst Richarlison links

Speaking on The Last Word on Spurs’ YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas has suggested that Richarlison is not the only Everton player Tottenham are looking at this summer.

The Evening Standard have reported that Spurs are interested in bringing Richarlison to N17 this summer, while GOAL Brazil say to expect a bid in the coming days.

The 24-year-old scored ten goals and laid on five assists in just 30 Premier League appearances last season, proving to be an influential cog in Everton escaping relegation (TransferMarkt).

iNews claim that Richarlison has his heart set on departing Goodison Park this summer as he hopes to test himself and play on the biggest stage.

The Brazilian may not be the only Toffee that Spurs are looking to move for this summer. Thomas has mysteriously claimed that the Lilywhites are interested in multiple members of Frank Lampard’s squad, although he did not give too much away.

He said (Last Word on Spurs): “But as far as I understand it there are not clubs that are queuing up for Richarlison at the moment, Everton are keen to do a deal and clubs do know that, but here we are and it’s not transpired yet.

“It’s a very interesting one and he’s certainly not the only Everton player Spurs like.”

The journalist was then asked: “Are you going to tell us any names Lyall, or is that just a teaser?” – to which he replied, “Not yet.”

Spurs Web Opinion

This was an intriguing claim. Personally, I don’t believe Lampard’s side is full of jewels, however, there are a few players who could potentially be shrewd buys.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a proven goalscorer in the Prem and could provide great backup to Harry Kane. Jordan Pickford was influential in Everton’s survival and with Hugo Lloris only getting older, could potentially succeed the Spurs captain.

Another exciting player is Anthony Gordon. The Scouse youngster has speed and skill and will likely have a bright future.
