Journalist claims Spurs still plan to sell player who is set to resume training this week

The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has revealed that Moussa Sissoko, who has been linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, is expected to return to Hotspur Way for training before the end of the week.

The last couple of days have been dominated by news of Harry Kane’s no-show as the striker seemingly attempts to force himself a move away from the club.

The 28-year-old’s move could have a huge bearing on Tottenham’s transfer plans this summer but it is hardly the only thing that Fabio Paratici’s plate as we enter the final few weeks of the transfer window.

Shifting some of the deadwood would be a priority for the Italian, with Sissoko thought to be among those who are considered surplus to requirements.

Reports emerged last week that the French international could also be on his way to the Middle East this summer following in the footsteps of Toby Alderweireld’s move to Qatari club Al-Duhail.

Eccelshare’s latest update seems to suggest that the 31-year-old’s future is yet to be sorted out, however, the journalist confirmed that the Lilywhites are planning on selling the midfielder this summer.

We already had plenty of work to do in the transfer window and Kane’s antics have piled on even more pressure on the club’s hierarchy. We are now running out of time to find suitable buyers for the likes of Sissoko, Aurier, Winks and Sanchez.
