Journalist Dean Jones has said that Trevoh Chalobah ticks all the boxes for Tottenham Hotspur but warned that the North London side have to act fast if they wish to sign the Chelsea defender this summer.
It has been well-documented that Ange Postecoglou wants further reinforcements at the back and Chalobah has been mooted as a target for the Lilywhites ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Telegraph claimed earlier this month ago that Spurs are expected to push ahead with a move for the centre-back, who is valued at £25m by Chelsea.
Last week, BBC Sport also revealed that the Blues are ready to sell the 24-year-old but the outlet explained that the player is not in a rush to leave his boyhood club and would only entertain offers from the top seven Premier League clubs or Champions League clubs in Europe.
Jones has now said that Chalobah features prominently on Tottenham’s wishlist but warned the club that they cannot wait too long to make a move, with Fulham and West Ham also plotting approaches for the player.

Would Trevoh Chalobah be a good fit for Tottenham?
The journalist told GiveMeSport: “Spurs are on the lookout for a depth player and Chalobah really does fit the bill well. They obviously already have a preferred defensive partnership, but the versatility of Chalobah means he can play across that line as well as in midfield.
“And, of course, he also counts towards the homegrown status quota which is a big thing that a lot of clubs are having to consider closely over the next few months.
“Players like this are hard to find because they rarely come into the market. He’s a well-educated footballer who is trustworthy and Spurs will need to move fast because other clubs in London like Fulham and West Ham could make a move.”
Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that Chalobah would be perfect for Spurs, being versatile, homegrown, quick and relatively inexpensive.
The big question is whether the 24-year-old would want to move to N17, knowing that he is likely to have a bit-part role given the presence of the likes of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin.
