Journalist claims there is currently ‘no chance’ Harry Kane joins Spurs’ PL rival

The Telegraph’s Matt Law has revealed that Harry Kane will never consider crossing the London divide and joining Chelsea.

Over the last week or so, it has been reported by several Spanish outlets that Real Madrid have now moved into pole position to sign Kane this summer, with the striker said to be keen on making the move to the Spanish capital (Marca).

However, it was reported by AS on Wednesday that Los Blancos are now set to pull out of the race for the England striker as they find Tottenham’s £100m asking price to be too high, particularly given that the centre-forward is about to turn 30 next month and would thus have no-resale value.

It was reported last month that a move to Chelsea might be on the cards for Kane this summer, with Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth even telling GiveMeSport on 6 May that there is no doubt that Pochettino would want to reunite with the England captain.

However, Law has now made it clear that despite Kane’s relationship with Pochettino, the striker would not consider a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is forbidden territory for Harry Kane

The journalist said on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel: “Kane wouldn’t ever go to Chelsea.

“Even with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm, there is no chance. Kane really values his Spurs legacy.”

Kane to Chelsea has never really been on the cards, not least because Daniel Levy would never consider selling the striker to London rivals.

The Blues are currently in an even bigger mess than Spurs are, having finished in 13th place with just 44 points.

So, they would not be a particularly attractive destination for any world-class player this summer.
