Journalist claims top-six rival open to loaning Spurs-linked star next season

It has been reported that Manchester United are open to the idea of loaning Anthony Martial out next season, with other sources naming Spurs as a potential destination for the Frenchman.

With United now having signed Jadon Sancho on a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund, it is said that they will reportedly allow Martial to make way, adding that this exit would likely be a loan deal.

It is said that Martial would be allowed to leave on a temporary basis once the Sancho deal goes through, which was announced yesterday.

The Mirror originally reported that Martial could be sold this summer, with Spurs mentioned as potential suitors. The Express also reported recently that the door may be open for Spurs to sign the French winger.

However, Eurosport journalist, Dean Jones has now claimed that the Red Devils are open to loan offers for the attacker.

He said: “They’re open to loan offers for Anthony Martial now. So that’s interesting.”

Tottenham reportedly wanted to sign Martial back in 2015 before Man United swooped for him and are now being tipped to return for him six years later.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I don’t see any way in which Man United would loan Martial to Spurs without either a huge fee or an obligation to buy. For Tottenham, it probably wouldn’t be worth it. Best to go for a young up-and-coming winger.
