Journalist claims Tottenham fringe player is being looked at by Nottingham Forest

Bryan Gil could be offered a way out of Tottenham Hotspur this month, with Nottingham Forest keen on signing the young winger before transfer deadline day. However, the Premier League side have a number of targets for that position.

Despite being at Tottenham for approaching three years now, Bryan Gil has just never managed to establish himself at the club. He has spent the second half of the last two seasons out on loan in Spain, with Valencia and Sevilla.

Gil has found himself a peripheral figure under Ange Postecoglou this season, playing just ten games with a total of 217 minutes actually spent on the pitch (Transfermarkt).

Tottenham are thought to be keen to offload fringe players like Gil this month (Football Insider). And, by the sounds of it, Spurs would have no issue finding a new club for the Spaniard.

Apparently, Gil is wanted by his old club Sevilla (Vamos Mi Sevilla), Feyenoord (1908.nl), Lazio (Quotidiano Sportivo), and Premier League strugglers, Burnley (The Last Word on Spurs).

Bryan Gil to Nottingham Forest?

Now, a new horse has entered the race, with Gil thought to be among the shortlist for Nottingham Forest in the final days of the transfer window.

That’s according to Will Unwin, who tweeted: “Final few days of window for #NFFC: club in talks with Lyon over Orel Mangala. They want a winger, currently there is a list of three: Gio Reyna, Bryan Gil and Ismaila Sarr. A goalkeeper is still targeted, too. Joe Worrall could exit – Besiktas interested.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be very interested to see what Bryan Gil can do in the Premier League with some regular football under his belt. I’d love to see him succeed, but unfortunately, I just don’t know that he will be able to achieve what he wants at Tottenham so a move away may be for the best.
