Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge would be surprised if Harry Kane joins Bayern Munich this summer as the striker has not yet informed Tottenham that he wants to leave.
It appears as if Bayern are not prepared to give up on their pursuit of Kane, with Ben Jacobs taking to social media on Sunday to reveal that the Bavarians are readying a second offer of £80m for the centre-forward after seeing their opening bid turned down.
However, the journalist explained that Tottenham are relaxed about the 29-year-old’s future, with Ange Postecoglou expected to make it clear that he is an important part of his plans for the upcoming campaign.
Alasdair Gold also reported something similar in his recent column for Football.London, stating that the Spurs hierarchy are hopeful that the Australian will be able to persuade Kane to remain at the club.
Bridge would be surprised to see Kane at Bayern
Bridge has now remarked that we are yet to hear from the England captain’s camp about Bayern’s interest, and he added that he expects the striker to remain at Tottenham.
When asked about the speculation linking Kane with a move to the Allianz Arena, he told GiveMeSport: “This could rumble on a little bit now. Just from my opinion, I would be surprised if he ends up at Bayern this summer.
“But, of course, it would have to be him pushing it. As it stands, he hasn’t pushed it yet. We’ve not actually heard from him on this.”

This situation would become a lot clearer once Postecoglou has had a chat with Kane about his future.
I personally think it would be in Tottenham’s interest to sell the striker to Bayern but I believe he is more likely to stay as Levy would want to roll the dice in the hope that the 29-year-old changes his mind about a new contract next season.
