Journalist confirms Nagelsmann is now on PL rivals’ shortlist amid Spurs links

Bild journalist Christian Falk has revealed that Chelsea have a good relationship with the agent of Tottenham’s managerial target, Julian Nagelsmann.

Nagelsmann unsurprisingly has become a priority for Tottenham since the shock news of the German’s departure from Bayern Munich emerged last week, if reports are to be believed.

The Daily Mail revealed on Monday that Spurs have reached out to the former RB Leipzig boss’ camp regarding their managerial vacancy and are awaiting a response.

The report added that Tottenham could face competition not only from Real Madrid for the 35-year-old but also from Chelsea.

This was backed up by Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, who claimed a couple of days ago that while Graham Potter is not under any immediate threat of losing his job, Nagelsmann would be the man the Blues turn to if they sack the English coach.

Falk has now taken to social media to reveal that the West London club have a positive relationship with Nagelsmann’s agent as he also represents former Chelsea forward, Timo Werner.

The relationships that clubs have with specific agents might not matter as much when it comes to attracting a manager like Nagelsmann, who is the most sought-after head coach on the market.

The 35-year-old will be the one who makes the final decision depending on which club he sees as the best fit, and Real Madrid would certainly be favourites if they express interest.
