Journalist confirms PL club are ‘definitely interested’ in Harry Winks from Spurs

TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has confirmed that Everton are ‘definitely interested’ in a move for Harry Winks this summer.

It looks highly likely that Winks has already donned the Tottenham shirt for the last time, particularly after news emerged on Tuesday that Spurs have agreed on a deal with Brighton to sign Yves Bissouma (The Times).

The Tottenham midfielder is thought to have been informed that he can find a new club this summer (Mirror), with reports indicating that the North Londoners value the England international at around £25m (Daily Mail).

The Sun reported a couple of weeks ago that the Everton, Fulham and Southampton were interested in Winks while Sevilla were also considering making a move for the Spurs star this summer.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold suggested a few days ago that the Lilywhites could potentially use the 26-year-old as a makeweight in a deal to bring Brazilian striker Richarlison from Goodison Park to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

When asked about Everton’s rumoured interest in Winks, Crooks told GiveMeSport: “Harry Winks, reasonably cheap, good lad, good professional. I think he would be a good signing for anybody, and Everton are definitely interested.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I expect three or four Premier League clubs to potentially vie for Winks’ signature this summer.

Despite his struggles to get game time at Spurs over the last couple of years, the midfielder can be a very useful player in the right system.

In fact, I would not be surprised if Brighton looked at the 26-year-old as a potential replacement for Bissouma.
