New Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte was due to hold his pre-Everton press conference at 13:30 this afternoon to answer questions from the media ahead of his first Premier League match since returning to England.
Journalists, who have been sitting patiently waiting to join the Zoom conference call have been told by club staff that the reason for the delay is due to the Italian still being on the training pitch at Hotspur Way with his squad with the training session having overrun.
Conte admitted after last night’s Europa Conference League victory against Vitesse Arnhem under the lights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that he was faced with limited opportunities before Sunday’s trip to Goodison Park that he would have to try and find the time to work with his squad (BT Sport).
The head coach revealed that he would liked to have had more time to work with his players due to the quick turnaround in fixtures together with the upcoming international break which will see many of his star players jet off around the globe (Football.London).
The Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick took to Twitter to give an update on the situation.
