Journalist explains Serge Aurier’s absence from the squad that faces Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur interim head coach has today decided to make just one change to his starting eleven from the one which lost at Leeds United last weekend.

The 29-year-old has brought Japhet Tanganga back into the side from the start in place of Serge Aurier, who was not included in the match day squad, along with Joe Rodon who once again misses out under Mason.

Journalist Dan Kilpatrick has taken to Twitter to reveal that it is his understanding that Aurier’s absence is due to a groin problem and is nothing to do with a potential transfer away from North Lonon.

Aurier was photographed participating in training with the rest of the Tottenham first team at Hotspur Way on Thursday.

The Ivorian has been linked with a move away from Spurs this summer with the defender set to enter the final year of his contract.

Foot Mercato have claimed that Aurier is reportedly in talks with old club Paris Saint-Germain over a return to the French capital.
