Journalist gives update as Spurs player undergoes medical at London club today

Tottenham Hotspur have already brought in their first January signing on loan in the form of Gedson Fernandes, but could they be about to send a starlet of their own out the door.

Jack Clarke was recently recalled from his loan spell at Leeds United after the Championship side failed to hand him consistent game time.

Despite being a regular towards the end of last season, Clarke often found himself on Bielsa’s bench or reserves this season.

He played in just one Championship match, coming off the bench against Luton Town, as well as featuring in two EFL Cup games (TransferMarkt).

It has now been reported that Clarke is undergoing a medical at Queens Park Rangers today, as Spurs look to keep the winger in London.

Simon Collings from the Evening Standard has claimed that the deal should be done by the end of the day, with the medical happening this morning.

If Clarke signed for QPR today, his first game could come against old club Leeds at the weekend.
