Journalist hints Serie A club could attempt to sell two players to Tottenham

Italian journalist Fabio Santini has said that Tottenham Hotspur could sign both Samuel Iling-Junior and Matias Soule from Juventus in January.

Over the last month, Spurs Web has relayed a whole host of reports from various Italian outlets, which have installed Tottenham as the favourites to land Iling-Junior, who is thought to be keen on leaving Juve in search of regular game time (TMW).

Over the past week, it has emerged that the Lilywhites are also eyeing a move for Soule, with JuveLive reporting a couple of days ago that Ange Postecoglou’s men are expected to battle the likes of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace for the 20-year-old.

The versatile forward has thrived on loan at Frosinone this season, having managed six goals and an assist in 13 Serie A appearances so far (Transfermarkt).

Juventus want to offload Soule in January

Santini has now confirmed that the Old Lady are looking to cash in on the Argentina Under-20 international as well as Iling-Junior as they look to raise funds to make moves for their top targets.

The journalist asserted that the Bianconeri are looking to sell Soule to Spurs for a fee of around €20m-€25m (£17.1m-£21.4m).

Santini told TV Play: “Juventus are working hard on two important midfield profiles. They had already come very close to Koopmeiners in June with a €40m offer and in January it could go up to €45m with the sales of Iling-Junior and Yildiz.

“They have never let go of the track leading to Berardi and would like to sell Soule for €20-25m to Crystal Palace or Tottenham.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like Juve are feeding this information to the press to potentially drum up interest in Soule. There is nothing concrete to indicate that the 20-year-old is near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist.
