Journalist Dean Jones has praised Ange Postecoglou for the way he has managed Richarlison after the Brazilian opened up on his off-field struggles.
After being pictured in tears on the bench, Richarlison admitted during the international break earlier this month that he was dealing with some difficulties in his personal life, for which he plans to seek psychological help (Globo Esporte).
When asked about the forward’s issue, Postecoglou insisted that the Brazilian will get all the help he needs from professionals at the club (Sky Sports).
During the same press conference, the Australian also eloquently explained why even people who are successful in life, like Premier League footballers, are not immune from mental health problems, with the video going viral on social media.
Jones believes that the way in which Postecoglou has navigated this Richarlison situation shows the man-management credentials that he has.
The journalist insisted that his empathetic leadership style is the main reason why the mood in the Tottenham camp is now so different to how it was for the last couple of years.

Jones told GiveMeSport about the Spurs head coach: “He’s just a brilliant man manager.
“He plays everything down in terms of the credit that he deserves, and himself and says ‘I haven’t spoken to him about any psychological problems, my job is to just make sure that he’s comfortable in his surroundings, and he’s good here’.
“And I think that’s what’s great about Postecoglou and why he’s such a good fit for this Tottenham squad right now.
“Having had figures like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, who were so divisive, loved a row, and liked confrontation. It clearly wasn’t working for this set of players.
“So now they’ve got someone who is happy to have a row, but is also happy to just put an arm around people and talk to people, as human beings talk to them on a more personal level.
“I love the way that Ange has dealt with almost everything he’s done at Tottenham so far, but particularly the way that he seems to be controlling the Richarlison narrative. I think he’s going to help him get the best out of them again.”
