Harry Kane may return to the Premier League one day, but he might not want to play for Tottenham Hotspur again. That’s according to journalist Sami Mokbel, who claims there is now some ill-feeling between the former Spurs star and the club he left this summer.

After coming through the club’s academy and going on to become Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer (GOAL), Harry Kane finally left Spurs in August of this year.

A summer of intense speculation ultimately led to Kane departing Spurs and joining German giants, Bayern Munich. It is thought the deal to sell Kane could bring in up to £104m for Tottenham, depending on his success in the Bundesliga (EuroSport).

It doesn’t seem like Spurs have missed Kane all that much just yet. Under new boss Ange Postecoglou, the Lilywhites have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign, and goals have been flooding in from all over the pitch.

Harry Kane might never return to Tottenham

Of course, when Kane left, he abandoned his pursuit of the Premier League goalscoring record held by Alan Shearer. According to Sami Mokbel, there is a very good chance Kane will come back to England one day to break that record, but he might not do that with Spurs.

Speaking on the deadline day livestream for The Mail, Mokbel said: “I think one day he will come back to England and break that Premier League record. He does want that.

“Whether that’s at Tottenham I’m not sure, there have been a few issues behind the scenes there in regards to his move, but one day we will see him back here.”

This comes after reports recently suggesting Kane was barred from returning to the Hotspur Way complex ahead of finalising his move to Germany last month (Telegraph).

Spurs Web Opinion

It would be really disappointing to see Kane return to England one day and not be wearing a Spurs shirt. There is no doubt that he will come back to get that Premier League record, and we have to make sure whatever issues there are between the club and Kane are resolved and that he completes his legacy with us.
