Journalist Peter O’Rourke is confident that Porto starlet Fabio Vieira will be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

Since breaking into Porto’s first-team back in 2020, Vieira has won several admirers with his performances for the Portuguese giants.

The attacking midfielder has, by no means, been a regular in Porto’s starting eleven this season but he has still registered 11 assists while scoring two goals in the league so far this season (Transfermarkt).

The youngster is yet to win his first senior cap for Portugal but has featured 18 times for their Under-21 side.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo (as relayed by Sport Witness) revealed last week that scouts from Tottenham were in attendance in Portugal to watch Sporting draw 2-2 with Porto earlier this month.

The report did not specify which players Spurs were running the rule over but if O’Rourke is to be believed, it might have been Vieira. The journalist claimed that the 21-year-old is one of many players who would be on Tottenham’s radar.

He told GiveMeSport: “I’m sure Vieira is on their radar as well, he’s had a good season in the Primeira Liga in Portugal.

“So yeah, Spurs will be looking to see where they can strengthen their attacking options. And Vieira, again, will be on the list alongside a number of players.”

I am sure Paratici would have a network of scots across Europe keeping an eye on many young talents and Vieira might be one of them. However, that does not necessarily mean that Tottenham are likely to make a move for the 21-year-old in the summer.
