Journalist names six strikers Spurs have enquired about this transfer window

Football.London’s Rob Guest has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have considered a whole host of options regarding a back up for Harry Kane, having made enquiries for six different strikers this window.

With less than a week to go until the transfer window shuts, the Lilywhites have still not managed to secure a striker, despite being linked with a whole host of rumoured targets.

Reports indicate that Jose Mourinho is becoming increasingly frustrated at the club’s inability to get a deal for a striker over the line (The Sun).

Guest has now revealed that Spurs have made enquiries about Danny Ings, Andrea Belotti, Patson Daka, Habib Diallo, Carlos Vinicius and Haris Seferovic this transfer window.

However, he hinted that the club have not settled on their number one target as they continue to prioritise a deal for Milan Skrniar at the moment.

Reports over recent days have claimed that Spurs could turn their attention to Josh King, with the Premier League clubs allowed to make signings from EFL clubs for eleven days after the transfer deadline (Telegraph).

However, Guest revealed that Tottenham are determined to land a striker before the October 5 deadline.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is quite surprising that Milik’s name not been mentioned by Guest, which would suggest that we were never really close to snapping him up. After the names we have been linked with, it would be underwhelming if we end up with Vinicius or Seferovic (which is looking more and more likely). However, that is something I would accept as long as we are able to get a deal for Skriniar over the line.
