Journalist names Spurs among three PL clubs most interested in winger

Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Tottenham are one of three clubs who are eyeing a late move for Wolves winger Adama Traore.

Tottenham are expected to be in the market for an attacker if Bryan Gil departs the club (The Athletic) and the North Londoners have been linked with a whole host of players over recent days.

Everton’s Anthony Gordon (Football Insider), Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovsky (TuttoMercatoWeb), Leeds United’s Dan James (The Daily Mail), Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech (Algemeen Dagblad) and Lyon’s Lucas Paqueta (Express) are all alleged to be on Spurs’ radar.

Another target that has been mooted is Traore, with Alasdair Gold stating earlier this week that he would not be surprised if Tottenham make a late move for the winger (Football.London).

Gold added that Spurs’ managing director of football Fabio Paratici remains a big fan of the Spaniard.

Jones has now revealed that intermediaries are trying to push through a transfer away from the Molineux Stadium for Traore, and named Spurs as one of three clubs who could make a move for the Spaniard.

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “Adama Traore is one to keep an eye on in this final week. Intermediaries are still working on a new club for him and there has been most interest from Chelsea, Spurs and Everton. He’s got to be one of the best options left on the market.”

Traore is now into the final year of his contract at Wolves. So, the West Midlands club will probably be looking to cash in on him before the transfer window closes. We also know that Paratici is a fan of the 26-year-old. So a late move for the pacy winger cannot be ruled out.
