Journalist offers update on Tottenham’s Adama Traore pursuit

Journalist Dean Jones has said that Adama Traore’s proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur has not hit any roadblocks and that the transfer is expected to go through.

Multiple publications over the last few weeks have backed Traore to become Tottenham’s first signing of the January transfer window (FourFourTwo).

Football Insider even claimed last week that a fee had been agreed between Spurs and Wolves for the 25-year-old.

However, with just a few days left until the transfer window shuts, the North Londoners are yet to announce Traore’s signing.

A report from The Sun on Monday added to Tottenham fans’ anxiety by claiming that Wolves are still ‘determined to keep’ the Spaniard at the club and were not willing to settle for less than £30m.

Jones has now offered an update that would alleviate Spurs fans’ fears by revealing that Traore’s move is expected to go through over the coming days.

The journalist asserted on The Done Deal Show on The Football Terrace that the pacy winger is going to be a Tottenham player.

He added that Traore is expected to sign a contract until 2026 with Antonio Conte’s men.

One can understand why some Spurs fans are getting restless, with just days left until the window closes. However, given how we tend to operate, I would not be surprised if the Traore deal is not officially confirmed by the club until the final two days of the window.
