Journalist picks out the top Spurs academy starlets to watch out for in the future

It is likely going to be an important summer for Tottenham Hotspur, should the transfer window go ahead as planned, as Jose Mourinho looks to make his mark on the squad.

The Special One has had one transfer window to bring in some of his own faces, introducing Gedson Fernandes on loan, Steven Bergwijn from PSV, and also making the loan deal for Giovani Lo Celso permanent.

Jose Mourinho has already shown that he is more than willing to also give young players an opportunity if they are good enough, as shown by Japhet Tanganga’s rise this season.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now picked out eleven academy prospects he believes are the most likely to make the jump to the first team next season.

Gold picked goalkeeper Joshua Oluwayemi; defenders Dermi Lusala, Brooklyn Lyons-Foster, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, Dennis Cirkin; midfielders Dilan Markanday, Jamie Bowden, Harvey White, J’Neil Bennett; and strikers Kion Etete and Troy Parrott as the ones to watch out for.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I expect Parrott to be loaned out next season since Jose has made it clear that he doesn’t think the Irishman is ready yet. Out of the names mentioned in Gold’s list, I am personally most excited about Harvey White and Dennis Cirkin. I believe they can go on to be stars for us in the future.
