Journalist predicts Daniel Levy’s plan for Harry Kane and Ange Postecoglou

Ben Jacobs believes that Daniel Levy is almost trying to force Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham for one more year in the hope that he might fall in love with Ange Postecoglou’s management (TheUnitedStand).

Postecoglou was handed the keys to Hotspur Way last week following a 70-day search for Antonio Conte’s successor, and the Australian joins off the back of an impressive treble with Celtic.

Postecoglou has a big Kane job on his hands

However, Postecoglou has a big job on his hands to revamp the squad this summer, and to get Spurs back on track next season after an eighth-place finish in the Premier League.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, had one of his best seasons ever from a personal point of view, netting 30 goals in a struggling Spurs side, which was surpassed only by Erling Haaland.

Sky Sports reported this week that Man United are now unlikely to bid for Kane this summer because Daniel Levy has made it clear he will not sell. GiveMeSport claim Real Madrid have been told the same thing.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think Ben Jacobs is bang on here. Levy is hoping that Postecoglou brings attacking football back to Spurs, Kane gets a bucket load of goals, and Tottenham make significant ground up on their rivals. That is the only way Harry signs a new deal and doesn’t leave on a free.
