Journalist predicts how much Spurs could charge for Winks, Lo Celso, Reguilon

Michael Bridge has predicted on Sky Sports News (02/08/22 Football Daily) that Tottenham Hotspur would charge £15m each from the sales of Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks before the transfer window closes.

The aforementioned trio, along with Tanguy Ndombele, have been completely frozen out of Antonio Conte’s pre-season plans and their departure looks imminent this summer.

Over the last few days, reports from Spain have suggested that Villarreal have stepped up their pursuit of Lo Celso, with the La Liga club said to have launched a loan offer with an obligation to buy the Argentine (Marca).

The Athletic reported last week that as things stand, neither Newcastle United nor Leeds United have followed through on their interest in Winks, and added that Ndombele’s wages have put off interested clubs.

Bridge has now predicted that Premier League clubs will be willing to take a punt on Winks and added that Ndombele could be loaned out in the final few days of the transfer window.

The journalist also said that he expects both Lo Celso and Reguilon to return to La Liga.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Tottenham will probably not have any difficulty getting a fee for Winks, I suspect the club will have to agree to loan out Reguilon and Lo Celso with an option/obligation to buy. Despite both players being sought after, the likes of Villarreal and Sevilla are not in a position to pay £15m or above this summer.
