Journalist provides details on when Bayern will submit next bid for Harry Kane

Constantin Eckner has reported that Bayern Munich are expected to make another improved bid for Harry Kane in the near future, as rumours of a Spurs exit continue to dominate headlines.

The journalist claims the German giants will wait until Tottenham have returned from their pre-season tour around Australia and Asia before lodging another offer for the England captain.

Third Harry Kane bid is coming from Bayern Munich

The Evening Standard claim that Spurs turned down an opening offer for Bayern which amounted to £60m plus add-ons, and were expected to also reject the club’s second offer of £68.5m plus add-ons.

The Times believe it would take a fee of around £100m, paid almost completely upfront, in order to get Daniel Levy and Spurs to agree to Kane’s sale.

The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare says the feeling around the football industry is that Tottenham would not be willing to let Kane leave on a free when his contract expires next summer.

Now, it appears to be a case of ‘wait and see’ as to how much Bayern put on the table with their rumoured third bid of the summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I’m not sure I agree with the £100m upfront angle because that isn’t how large deals are done these days, but the figure in general is about right. The lowest I can see Spurs going is £80m plus add-ons, but add-ons that are guaranteed to be triggered at some point.
