The Athletic’s David Ornstein has claimed that rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Eberechi Eze has his sights on a move to the Premier League this summer.
The midfielder has been one of the most potent attacking threats in the Championship this season, having 14 goals and 8 assists to his name (transfermarkt.com).
Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for the Rangers star until a few months ago, with The Sun even installing the North Londoners as the favourites for his signature.
The 22-year-old has already admitted that he has ambitions of playing at the highest level (The Beautiful Game Podcast via Football.London).
Jose Mourinho is reported to be a fan of Eze, while Spurs’ recruitment team ‘love’ the way he plays.
Ornstein has suggested that a summer move is on the cards for Eze but ominously for Tottenham, he claimed that West Ham United and Crystal Palace were the leading contenders for his signature.
Eberechi Eze set to get his PL move in next transfer window with West Ham & Crystal Palace currently the leading contenders. It’s a measure of the regard in which he’s held at QPR that he’ll bow out as fans’, players’ + Junior Hoops’ player of the year #WHUFC #CPFC @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/6jh0mZCbv5

Spurs Web Opinion
Our links with Eze have died down a bit recently and perhaps it is an indication that we have cooled our interest. Let us hope this does not turn out to be another Jack Grealish situation, where we end up regretting not getting him in now for a fairly small fee, a few
years down the line.
