Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich are thought to have come to an agreement on a deal that would see Eric Dier leave the club, but Spurs have not yet received an official offer from the German club for the 29-year-old.
At the moment, all eyes are on Tottenham and their pursuit of a new central defender, with Radu Dragusin believed to be on the verge of completing a move from Genoa to North London (Fabrizio Romano).
With the arrival of a new defender, it is thought the door will open for Eric Dier to depart Tottenham after almost a decade with the club. And, all reports suggest the England international could join Bayern Munich this month, with personal terms already agreed (Football Insider).
It was previously suggested that Bayern would be able to acquire Dier for around £4.3m this month, with Spurs keen to cash in and move the player on given the fact he is in the final six months of his current contract (Sky Sports Deutschland).
Dier agreement in place with Bayern Munich
We may now be a step closer to seeing Dier leave Spurs, as Florian Plettenberg offers an update on the situation and suggests a deal has now been agreed in principle between the Lilywhites and Bayern.
Plettenberg tweeted: “FC Bayern have directly spoken with Tottenham bosses about a permanent deal [for Dier] and agreed upon the parameters. But an official offer for Dier has not been submitted yet.
“New Details: Transfer fee probably less than €4m. Contract: 2025 + 1. Dier, still waiting for a decision.”

Spurs Web Opinion
Getting any fee for Eric Dier right now is a bonus, as he could just as easily dig his heels and wait to leave for free in the summer. Removing his salary from the wage bill will be a big boost, too, so hopefully we can get Dragusin confirmed in the next day or two and move Dier on.
