Journalist reports funny thing Moura did to new Spurs signings against Man City

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Lucas Moura decided to join Pedro Porro and Arnaut Danjuma on the touchline when the two new signings were being introduced to the Tottenham fans on Sunday.

Much to the disappointment of some fans, Porro did make his debut for Lilywhites against his former club, with Emerson Royal being given the nod to start at right wing-back as the Spaniard remained an unused substitute alongside Danjuma.

The selection decision proved to be the right call as the Brazilian put in an impressive defensive display, helping Spurs keep a clean sheet and come away with all three points.

Gold revealed that the two new signings were introduced to the home fans ahead of the game and received a brilliant ovation from the crowd.

The journalist explained that this is when Moura, who was not part of the matchday squad, decided to join the duo next to the touchline and started applauding the fans inside the stadium.

The incident is said to have gone down well with Fraser Forster, who saw the funny side of the incident and slapped the Brazilian on the back of the head as he was leaving the pitch.

I am glad that Spurs decided to keep Lucas until the end of the season as the Brazilian is fantastic for dressing room morale and it would have not been ideal to lose another popular member of the squad, given that Doherty also departed on deadline day.
