Miguel Delaney, the chief football writer at the Independent, has now reported that Real Madrid have also contacted Mauricio Pochettino about their vacant manager position.
Delaney claims that Pochettino is the number one choice of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, just as he was back in 2018.
However, as the same publication reported earlier today, PSG want to hold on to their current boss, despite links to former club, Tottenham.
The Pochettino rumours first started up on Tuesday of this week when the Independent reported that some figures inside Tottenham wanted a return.
The Sun then claimed that Pochettino himself was interested in a move back to Spurs because he is not currently happy with things at PSG.
Today, reliable Spurs journalists such as The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke and Football.London’s Alasdair Gold have also reported that Spurs have held talks with the Argentine.
However, if Delaney and the Independent are to be believed, it seems as though Real Madrid are also interested in the current PSG boss.
