Journalist reports Vlahovic is ‘ready to say goodbye’ to Fiorentina, ‘next few hours decisive’

Rai journalist Sara Meini has claimed that Dusan Vlahovic is edging closer to a move to Manchester City.

City are continuing to be heavily linked with a move for Harry Kane, with reports this morning revealing that the Premier League champions were set to make a £150m offer for the striker.

It was suggested that Pep Guardiola’s men were hopeful the offer would bring Daniel Levy to the negotiating table.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs all through the summer, with the North Londoners even alleged to have offered €60m (£51m) including bonuses for the centre-forward last week.

However, Meini reported a major twist in the tale earlier today as she revealed that City had entered the race for Vlhaovic.

The journalist has now revealed that the 21-year-old is edging closer to a move to the Etihad and is ‘ready to say goodbye’ to Fiorentina after he turned down the club’s contract proposals.

Meini also adds that Vlahovic is in talks with City and that the next few hours will be decisive in the transfer.

Spurs Web Opinion

Making a move for Vlahovic might be a tactic by City to force Daniel Levy into reducing his demands for Kane. I am not convinced that the tactic will work against the Spurs chairman.
