Journalist reveals Christian Eriksen’s snub after Boro win

The reports linking Christian Eriksen with a move to Inter Milan have been heating up over the last few days.

The midfielder, whose contract with Spurs runs out at the end of the season, has reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Italian giants (Gazzetta dello Sport).

With Eriksen expected to join Inter before the end of the month, his appearance against Middlesbrough last night could well prove to be his final home game for Spurs.

Jose Mourinho insisted after the 2-1 win against Boro that he was happy with the Dane’s performance and that if he does end up leaving the club, he can do so with pride (The Sun).

PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal has now reported on what the 27-year-old did after the final whistle.

Veal claimed that the former Ajax man rejected all approaches for an interview as he made his way through the media mixed zone at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium following the match.

With Gedson Fernandes looking like a done deal, I don’t think Eriksen will be too much of a loss for us. He has been well below par for the last calendar year and it is clear that he needs a change. It is a shame that the midfielder’s Spurs career has ended in such a disappointing fashion but won’t take away the fact that he has been one of our modern-day greats.
