The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has revealed that Amazon Prime’s ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur’, the first three episodes of which are set to be released on Monday, does not cover Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking in any great detail.
Daniel Levy’s decision to fire Pochettino after Tottenham’s poor start to the season was quite a controversial one at the time, given that the Argentine had guided the North Londoners to their first-ever Champions League final just a few months prior.
Eccleshare, who was part of a select group of journalists who got to watch the first three episodes of the documentary ahead of its release, revealed that only half an episode is dedicated to the way things ended for Pochettino at Spurs.
The documentary also does not delve deeply into the poor results leading up to the former Southampton boss’ sacking and does not provide any inside information on Levy’s decision.
However, the journalist admits that the first three episodes still had some fairly exciting moments, including Jose Mourinho’s meetings with the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier, making for fascinating viewing.
Clearly a doc signed off by the subject will have pretty severe limitations.
There’s next to nothing insidery on the Poch sacking, no mention of the Brighton game or the Gomes injury incident against Everton, and in general Poch only lasts half an episode of a nine-ep series.

But once you make peace with the fact that inevitably it’s hardly warts and all then it’s very watchable.
Mainly because Jose is such a brilliant protagonist, and his interactions with the players and Levy can be fascinating.

Spurs Web Opinion
It has been pretty clear from the teasers and the way the documentary has been promoted that it was always going to revolve around Jose Mourinho. Given how box-office the Spurs boss is, I am not really surprised Amazon has chosen to make him the main focus of the series.
