Journalist reveals how Bale mocked Son in yesterday’s training session

As is the custom the day before a European match, the cameras were allowed inside Hotspur Way to film a portion of Tottenham Hotspur’s training session yesterday as the players were put through their paces ahead of their Europa League clash against Royal Antwerp.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold picked up on a funny incident that occurred during the training session after he revealed that Gareth Bale was seen mocking Son Heung-min during a friendly game.

The journalist explained that the players were firing the ball powerfully at each other to see who could catch it.

When Son dropped the ball which was booted towards him by Ben Davies, Bale called the Spurs forward “Karius”.

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius famously dropped two clangors in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid, including Bale’s long-range drive.

The Tottenham winger also scored a memorably overhead kick in the same game but he clearly has not forgotten the German goalkeeper’s mistake, with the 27-year-old currently on loan at Union Berlin.
