Journalist reveals how much Dynamo Kyiv want for Zabarnyi who Alasdair Gold linked with Spurs

According to Ekrem Konur, Dynamo Kyiv want €30m (£25.6m) for Ilya Zabarnyi, who is said to be generating interest from Tottenham.

Spurs have linked with a whole host of centre-backs over recent weeks, with the likes of Alessandro Bastoni, Josko Gvardiol, Gleison Bremer, Sven Botman, Marc Guehi and Pau Torres thought to be among the names on the North London club’s radar (The Athletic).

Football.London reported on Friday that Spurs also hold an interest in Zabarnyi after monitoring the young defender closely this season.

The 19-year-old, who came through Dynamo Kyiv’s youth set-up, broke into the first-team last season and was having an impressive 2021/22 campaign until the Ukrainian top flight was suspended following the Russian invasion.

The centre-back has also impressed for the Ukrainian national side, having won 21 caps already for his country.

Konur has now backed up Football.London’s claim about Tottenham’s interest in Zabarnyi this summer. The journalist added that Dynamo have put a €30m (£25.6m) price tag on the youngster amidst Spurs’ advances.

Fabio Paratici has shown that he loves taking a punt on emerging young talent and so a move for Zabarnyi is certainly plausible. Spurs likely view the 19-year-old as one for the future and so, I would expect the club to loan the teenager out if they do snap him up this summer.
