Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has revealed on social media that Tottenham Hotspur are working behind the scenes on new contracts for both Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
However, no official update has been forthcoming on the matter, with Son choosing to remain tight-lipped when he was asked about the situation a couple of weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Kane’s future has been subject to a lot of speculation over recent weeks, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain said to be after the striker’s signature.
It has been suggested that Spurs are determined to hold on to Kane for at least another season and have no intention of letting him leave.
Schira has now revealed that talks are on-going with Kane and Son over getting the pair to commit their futures to the club.
Here’s what the journalist tweeted regarding Tottenham’s talismanic front two:
#Tottenham are working to extend Heung-min #Son’s contract (expires in 2023) and Harry #Kane’s contract (expires in 2024) until 2025 (with option for another season for Kane). Talks ongoing to reach an agreement. #transfers #THFC #COYS https://t.co/IJsp3L4OAS

Spurs Web Opinion
I firmly believe that if not for the financial blow due to the pandemic, we would have already got both Kane and Son signed on to new deals.
Despite the rumours linking Kane with a move away from Spurs in the summer, I am reasonably confident that the club can convince the striker to sign a new contract, particularly given the unlikelihood of a big offer for the England captain from the likes of Real Madrid or PSG under the current financial climate.
