Journalist reveals Napoli have held talks with six clubs over Arkadiusz Milik

According to reports from Italy, Napoli have held talks with several Premier League clubs regarding the sale of rumoured Spurs target Arkadiusz Milik.

Jose Mourinho has made it clear that he wants to add another striker to the squad before the transfer window shuts (Football.London), with reports indicating that Spurs sent representatives to Italy this week to hold negotiations for the striker (Calcio Mercato).

Previous reports have indicated that Everton are ready to push Spurs for the striker’s signature as Carlo Ancelotti looks to bolster his frontline (Gianluca Di Marzio).

Rai journalist, Ciro Venerato, has now indicated that a deal to take Milik to North London is far from complete.

While he did reveal that Spurs are the front runners for the Polish international, he claimed that the Lilywhites are not prepared to meet Napoli’s asking price for the 26-year-old.

Speaking to Radio Goal broadcast on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (as relayed by Spazio Napoli), Venerato said: “Milik? The intermediary tells me that we are in informal talks with various teams: Leipzig, Tottenham, City, Fulham and United.

“The Spurs are the most reliable team, but Napoli’s request does not fully convince Mourinho.”

If reports are to be believed, we are now concentrating most of our efforts into getting the Skriniar transfer over the line. If we manage that over the next few days, that should give us plenty of time to sort out a deal for Milik.
