RMC Sport journalist, Loic Tanzi has reported that Fulham may look to strengthen their squad this summer with the free signing of former Tottenham right-back, Serge Aurier.
The newly-promoted club are among a host of teams vying for Aurier’s signature, with Fulham, Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid all said to have shown ‘concrete interest’ in the player (Loic Tanzi, RMC Sport).
The Ivorian international spent four years at Spurs, making over 100 appearances for the club before departing to Spanish club Villareal on a free transfer after the cancellation of his contract last summer (transfermarkt).
However, Aurier once again finds himself a free agent this summer after Villarreal decided against extending his contract for another season in La Liga (Fabrizio Romano).
And there is a chance Aurier could line up against many of his old teammates next season in London, if Fulham manage to convince the right-back to come to Craven Cottage.
Les choses bougent autour de Serge Aurier : l’Atletico, Galatasaray et Fulham ont montré un intérêt concret. Le latéral droit, libre, va prendre une décision sur sa destination dans les prochains jours #Mercato

Spurs Web Opinion:
There aren’t too many wingers who wouldn’t relish the chance to run at Serge Aurier for 90 minutes. Yes, on his day he can be a great player, but he also has the potential to pick up a red card or give away a penalty out of nowhere.
