Journalist reveals player has passed Spurs medical – Some details left to settle

Foot Mercato journalist, Santi Aouna has reported that Pape Matar Sarr passed his medical successfully on Tuesday ahead of a potential move to Spurs.

An agreement has already been found between Tottenham and Sarr’s current club, Metz, with the midfielder set to sign a contract with the North London side that runs until 2026.

Aouna also confirmed that Sarr would be remaining with Metz on loan until next June, when he would then be set to link up with his new parent club.

However, the journalist added that there were still some details left to settle before the official signing and any announcement from Tottenham.

If successful, Sarr could become Spurs’ fourth senior signing of the Fabio Paratici and Nuno Espirito Santo era, following the acquisitions of Pierluigi Gollini, Cristian Romero, and Bryan Gil.

Fabrizio Romano gave the Pape Matar Sarr deal his ‘here we go’ seal of approval earlier this week after reports first emerged of Tottenham stepping up their interest.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This looks to be one for the future. Who knows, Pape Matar Sarr could be a Premier League star a few days down the line. However, Tottenham also need quality here and now so I don’t expect this to be the last piece of business this summer.
