Journalist reveals results of latest COVID tests for Spurs trio Bale, Davies, and Rodon

In what comes as good news for Tottenham, PA Sport’s Jonathan Veal has revealed that Gareth Bale, Ben Davies and Joe Rodon have all tested negative for COVID-19 today.

Tottenham learned on Monday that Matt Doherty had tested positive for the virus, along with his Republic of Ireland teammate James McClean and was thus set to miss the clash against Manchester City at the weekend (Sky Sports).

Jose Mourinho was not happy to hear the news as he took to social media to mock the way in which the international fixtures had been organised.

Some Spurs fans on social media were fuming when they heard about Doherty’s positive test and worried about what that could mean for Bale, Rodon and Davies.

All three played ninety minutes against Doherty and McClean in Wales’ 1-0 Nations League win over the Irish on Sunday, less than 24 hours before two Irish internationals had tested positive.

However, Veal took to Twitter to allay fans’ fears as he revealed that the trio had tested negative following Sunday’s encounter.
