Journalist reveals Spanish club have made ‘new contacts’ about Spurs player

Sport Italia journalist Gianluigi Longari has revealed that Valencia have now made ‘new contacts’ with Tottenham regarding a deal to sign Bryan Gil.

Fabrizio Romano revealed last week that Valencia are continuing talks with Tottenham over re-signing Gil on loan but Antonio Conte’s men had not yet given the green light for the winger to leave the club.

Over the last couple of days, multiple Spanish journalists have suggested that the La Liga club are being left frustrated in their efforts to sign the Spurs star.

Tribuna Deportiva journalist Hector Gomez stated on Tuesday that Gennaro Gattuso’s side could turn their attention to Liile’s Timothy Weah and Watford’s Nacho Pussetto after Spurs ‘stopped’ the exit of Gil.

This was followed by a report by Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto, who claimed that Spurs are not willing to let the 21-year-old leave without securing a replacement first.

However, Longari has now taken to social media to reveal that Valencia have not given up on their hopes of bringing Gil back to the Mestalla.

The journalist claims that Los Che are ‘continuing to push’ for the Spain international and have made fresh contact with Spurs in ‘the last few hours’.

I have a feeling that Spurs are waiting to make another attacking addition before giving the green light for Gil to join Valencia. That would explain why the La Liga club have not turned their attention to other targets yet. I do expect the loan move to go through before the transfer window closes.
