A Spanish team have opened negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal for Tanguy Ndombele, according to French journalist Julien Maynard.
The name of the Spanish outfit was not disclosed by Maynard in a post on Twitter, but he added that a departure from Tottenham is now likely for Ndombele this summer.
Ndombele returned to Lyon in January on loan for the remainder of the season and had a promising start to life back at the Ligue 1 outfit, before losing his place in the starting eleven.
Lyon are said to have decided against making the loan move permanent having had an option to secure his services for a reported £54million (Sky Sports).
As things currently stand, the French international is set to return to Hotspur away this summer unless his exit can be agreed.
