Journalist reveals Spurs are competing with three German clubs for striker

Tottenham Hotspur are in the race for FC Nantes striker Randal Kolo Muani, according to Sky Deutschland journalist Max Bielefeld (as relayed by Sport Witness).

Kolo Muani hit the limelight back in France last season, scoring nine goals and registering four assists in 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 club.

The 22-year-old has continued his impressive form this campaign, with three goals and two assists to his name so far.

Foot Mercato reported last week that the France Under-21 international has no intention of renewing his contract which runs out at the end of the season.

The report claimed that Tottenham’s managing director Fabio Paratici met ‘very recently’ with Muani’s entourage to discuss a potential move to North London. Bielefeld has now also backed up their claim regarding Spurs’ interest in Kolo Muani.

The journalist stated that a move to Germany could be an option for Nantes star, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Hertha Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen having enquired about the Frenchman.

He added that the three clubs will face ‘competition from London’ as Spurs ‘should be interested’ in Kolo Muani.

Spurs Web Opinion

Even if Spurs had been interested in Kolo Muani and Paratici had initiated talks, the club’s targets would likely have changed following the arrival of Antonio Conte. I would not be surprised to now see us pursue a high-profile centre-forward like Vlahovic in January.
