Journalist reveals Spurs are competing with two other clubs for midfielder’s signature

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Christian Eriksen during the current transfer window.

There has been plenty of speculation over Eriksen’s future over the past month, with the midfielder being linked with a move to Arsenal along with Paris Saint-Germain (CalcioMercato).

Mauricio Pochettino, who recently took over as head coach at PSG, decided to remain coy in his first press conference in Paris when asked about potentially reuniting with the Dane in the French capital.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Inter are yet to receive any offers for the midfielder but are hopeful of selling him before the end of the month.

A return to Tottenham has previously been suggested as a possibility for Eriksen and Konur has now said on social media that the Lilywhites are interested in their former player.

However, the journalist added that another of the Danish international’s former clubs Ajax are also in the race for his signature, while Wolves also want to take him to Molineux.

I cannot see Eriksen returning to Ajax just yet as he is still in his peak at 28 years of age and the Dutch giants are unlikely to be in a position to afford his wages. I believe that PSG are the most likely club to land the midfielder this month.
