Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are working on two signings before this evening’s transfer deadline, with one of them being Chelsea academy starlet Jude Soonsup-Bell.
It has shaped up to be a quiet deadline day for Spurs so far, however, some reports over the last 24 hours have suggested that the club could pull off some surprise singings before the deadline.
The Times have reported that following the expected completion of the Pedro Porro deal, Antonio Conte’s men are considering making a move for a central defender.
The publication added that the Lilywhites are also expected to complete the signing of Soonsup-Bell from Chelsea before the 11 pm deadline.
Thomas has now taken to social media to reveal that the Blues starlet is indeed one of the two signings Spurs are working on. He also revealed that Southampton’s 18-year-old left wing-back Thierry Small might be the other player whom Tottenham are trying to bring over to north London to bolster their academy.
#Spurs working on two other things but pretty sure they’re both for the academy, one of which is Soonsup-Bell from Chelsea. Not sure of the other yet. Reports of Thierry Small from Soton, so could be him. https://t.co/E04IjiG0NJ

Spurs Web Opinion
I do not think any other first-team arrivals are on the cards, particularly given that we are at the limit of non-homegrown players for the Champions League. It seems like any remaining ins and outs before this evening’s deadline will primarily involve academy players.
