The centre-back’s composed performances at the back have allegedly caught the eye of several top-flight clubs, including Spurs.

Gissing has revealed that Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal, as well as Manchester United, are exploring the possibility of snapping up the youngster, whose contract at St Andrew will have just 12 months left to run at the end of this season.

The journalist adds that Chelsea are particularly keen, having sent scouts to run the rule over Gordon in his last three appearances for the Blues.
