journalist Nathan Gissing has revealed on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several clubs to have shown an interest in Birmingham City starlet Nico Gordon.

Gordon came through the youth ranks at Birmingham and made his senior debut for the club against Hull in June 2020.

This season, the 19-year-old has started six games in the Championship for Lee Bowyer’s side (Transfermarkt), who sit in 18th place in the table.

The centre-back’s composed performances at the back have allegedly caught the eye of several top-flight clubs, including Spurs.

Gissing has revealed that Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal, as well as Manchester United, are exploring the possibility of snapping up the youngster, whose contract at St Andrew will have just 12 months left to run at the end of this season.

The journalist adds that Chelsea are particularly keen, having sent scouts to run the rule over Gordon in his last three appearances for the Blues.
