Journalist reveals Spurs-linked wide man is in talks over move to Inter Milan

Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Eintracht Frankfurt star Filip Kostic, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, is in talks regarding a potential summer switch to Inter Milan.

Kostic has come on leaps and bounds since his move to Frankfurt in 2018 and the versatile wide-man, who can play on either flank or at wing-back, is putting up some impressive numbers this season.

The Serbian international has scored seven goals and registered 13 assists so far this campaign in all competitions (Tranfermarkt).

Spurs are expected to be in the market for a left wing-back in the summer (Football Insider) and it was reported a couple of months ago that Kostic was one of the options on Conte’s radar (Fichajes.net).

It was asserted that the Spurs head coach has been a fan of the 29-year-old for a long time and even previously tried to take him to Inter Milan.

According to Plettenberg’s latest update, it is the Nerrazuri who are now favourites to land Kostic, with the club already said to have begun talks with over a four-year contract with the player.

However, the journalist added that the Serie A club are yet to make a formal offer to Frankfurt, who value Kostic at around €15m (£12.4m).

If Spurs do hold a genuine interest in Kostic, one would expect the club to have got involved, especially given the reported price. If Tottenham let the 29-year-old go to Inter, that suggests that there are other left wing-back options who rank higher in Conte’s and Paratici’s wishlist.
