Journalist reveals Spurs want to sign 16-goal Champions League semi-finalist midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to pull off a sensational scoop for RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer this summer, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.

Sabitzer has been a revelation at the Red Bull Arena this season and Tottenham only know too well of his quality, as he tore them apart in two Champions League matches earlier in the year.

The 26-year-old put in another brilliant display as Julien Nagglesman’s side overcame Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinal last week.

CalcioMercato reported back in April that Jose Mourinho was a big admirer of the Austrian international and wanted to bring him to North London.

Reports indicate that the midfielder, who is also adept at playing wide, is available for around £45 million this summer (BILD).

Crook revealed that Spurs are looking beat several other top European clubs to the Leipzig star’s signature this summer.

The links to the likes of Marcel Sabitzer, David Brooks and Nicolo Zaniolo indicates that Jose Mourinho wants to bring in one more attacking midfielder/winger. I worry that might mean the start of the end of Dele Alli’s time at Spurs.
