Journalist reveals the four clubs Pochettino has his eye on – Including Spurs London rivals

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has revealed that Mauricio Pochettino is not on the verge of joining any club, despite recent reports to the contrary.

After being out of football for almost a full year, it is said that the former Tottenham Hotspur manager is not in a rush to return as he continues to wait for the right project.

Ornstein claims that Manchester United are unlikely to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer anytime soon, having backed the Norwegian both privately and publicly.

The journalist mentions four potential jobs that Pochettino currently has his eye on – Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. However, he suggests that a change at the top does not seem imminent at any of those clubs.

Finally, Ornstein also shed light into why Bayern Munich decided not to appoint the 48-year-old.

He asserted that, while the Bundesliga giants did consider the former Tottenham boss when they parted company with Niko Kovac, the size of his backroom staff, as well as the fact that they were all Spanish-speaking, put them off appointing Pochettino.
