According to Sunday World journalist Kevin Palmer, Philippe Coutinho is desperate to seal a return to Liverpool this summer amidst interest from several other clubs including Tottenham.
Multiple reports from Spain over the past week have indicated that Spurs remain interested in securing a deal to bring Coutinho back to the Premier League.
Sport even suggested that Tottenham are assessing the possibility of using Tanguy Ndombele and Toby Alderweireld in a swap deal to bring the Brazilian to North London.
However, Palmer now claims that the 27-year-old is keen to return to Anfield and has pleaded with Jurgen Klopp to take him back. He even asserts that the Barcelona star is prepared to take a pay cut in order to return to Merseyside.
However, 90min reveal that, despite Coutinho’s keenness to join the champions-elect, Liverpool are not interested in signing the midfielder this summer.
Tottenham and Newcastle are said to be the two main suitors for Coutinho’s signature.

Signing Coutinho on a permanent basis will be a massive gamble given his form over the last couple of years. It is not a gamble I expect us to take given our current financial circumstances. The only way I can see us getting Coutinho is if Barca are willing to accept a loan deal with an option to buy him next summer.
