Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has said in his latest video on his Youtube channel that Tottenham Hotspur are finding it difficult to move Danny Rose on, with transfer deadline looming ever closer.

Jose Mourinho has admitted that Rose is not a part of his plans and that he is free to leave the club.

The left-back was previously heavily linked with a move to Genoa (Daily Mirror) but that speculation has gone quiet in recent days.

Gold revealed that while Genoa did initially make an enquiry about Rose, no club has registered a serious interest in signing the England international this summer.

However, he did suggest that the situation could change late in the window, with a few clubs still in need of a left-back.

The journalist even suggested that the defender might be forced to consider dropping down to the Championship if he does not leave Spurs before this evening’s deadline as Premier League clubs can still do business with EFL clubs for eleven days further.

Just the fact that the idea of Rose dropping down to the Championship is being entertained shows how far his stock has dropped over the last three years. However, I still would expect a Premier League or a European club to take a punt on him on deadline day as defenders of his experience are hard to come by for such a low price.
