Journalist reveals three Spurs first-team players who could leave in January

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Danny Rose, Paulo Gazzaniga and Gedson Fernandes could all be on their way out of Tottenham during the January transfer window.

Rose has not been registered in either Spurs’ Premier League or Europa League squad this season and it looks as though the left-back may have already played his final game for the club, with his contract running out next summer.

Gold suggests that, while the England international could leave in January, Spurs are unlikely to get any transfer fee for the experienced defender.

He also revealed that the North Londoners will be willing to listen to offers for Gazzaniga after trying in vain to move him on in the previous transfer window.

It is claimed that the Argentine is keen to leave the club in search of more regular football, having been overtaken by Joe Hart as Hugo Lloris’ main understudy.

If the 28-year-old does leave, it is said that Alfie Whiteman or England U21 international Brandon Austin are likely to be promoted as the third choice until the end of the season.

Finally, Gold also confirmed that Tottenham will hold talks with Benfica to see whether Gedson Fernandes’ 18-month loan deal can be terminated early, depending on the costs involved.
