Journalist reveals Tottenham’s chances of appointing Antonio Conte

Sky Sports’ Michael Bridge has ruled out any chance of Tottenham Hotspur appointing Antonio Conte as their next manager.

Some reports have claimed that Spurs are running out of options after Julian Nagelsmann agreed to join Bayern Munich and Erik ten Hag signed a contract extension with Ajax.

It is unclear whether it was Ten Hag who turned down the Spurs job, with the likes of Fabrizio Romano claiming that it was the Tottenham hierarchy who decided to turn to other targets after holding a meeting with the Dutch manager.

Bridge has now taken to social media to reveal that there is no truth in some of the reports about managers turning Tottenham down.

He added that Conte, who is rumoured to be one of the candidates on the club’s wishlist, will not be taking over at Spurs.

The journalist also went on to reveal that the Tottenham stars are enjoying training under interim boss Ryan Mason.

I am not surprised that Levy is taking his time to appoint our next manager as this is arguably the most crucial decision of his tenure as chairman. We are at a crossroads as a club and if we get the appointment wrong, we could potentially fall a long way behind the top teams.
